Immerse yourself in silk and flora, with Kasiopya's September Eco-Printing Workshop. Discover the intentional and grounding process of eco printing on silk, utilizing locally grown and foraged plants. The Kasiopya team will guide you through eco-printing your own one-of-a-kind silk piece. Your handmade creation will be yours to take home and cherish.

Ticket Options:
Silk Noil Scarf- A 12 x 60" scarf, of 100% silk noil-- a raw silk with a matte texture, similar to linen, made from short leftover fibers of silk cocoons. Think of it as low-waste silk! Retail value: $180
Silk Charmeuse Scarf- A 12 x 60" scarf, of 100% silk charmeuse-- your classic, shiny, sheeny and luxurious silk woven with a satin technique. Retail value: $220
Silk Charmeuse Verona Skirt- The Verona Skirt is a multi-useful piece, in a classic cut. Featuring a drawstring waistline, subtle side slits, and cut-on-the-bias, this piece lays naturally to each wearer's unique shape and effortlessly compliments the figure. May be styled as a skirt or as a dress. Retail value: $600

About the event:
You’ll begin by choosing your botanical materials, learning of each plant's unique properties, how to prepare and arrange them on the silk, and finally, bundle wrapping your item. We will utilize leaves, flowers, and bark grown in Miami, FL, as well as outsourced eucalyptus. The Kasiopya team will then gather your pieces to finalize the printing in our overnight boiling process. Your final products will be one-of-one silk depictions of the colors of Miami.
Final products will be available for pick-up on September 26th, at the Coconut Grove Farmers Market, or participants may opt in for shipment for an additional $12 fee. All Verona Skirt ticket options may receive complimentary shipping. Products will be available for pick-up for a total of 4 consecutive weeks, until October 17.
Materials provided:
- One 60" x 12" silk scarf per participant ($180-$220 value)
- One silk charmeuse Verona Skirt ($600 value)
- All botanical printing materials: plants, cotton chord, vinegar, aluminum foil
- A pair of plastic gloves per participant
