Our Story

Kasiopya is a family and women-owned slow fashion clothing line, owned, operated, and founded by a mother-daughter duo in Miami, FL.
Tabitha and Nadezhda, the mother and daughter behind Kasiopya, sustainably handcraft every item to haute couture perfection, utilizing only natural fibers in every piece and specializing in both hand-dyeing and botanically printing on silk.
Working with plants grown and foraged in Miami, FL, Kasiopya's botanically printed collection quite literally is the city on the silk. Reflecting the exact shapes and colors of Miami's flora onto silk, the botanically printed collection captures an everlasting image of Miami's nature.
Both Kasiopya's hand-dyed collection and botanically printed pieces are unique and one-of-one, making each piece a wearable work of art. Inspired by the vibrancy and vivacity of Miami, Kasiopya emulates the city through the fabrics' colors and flow.

Our Origins
Previously known as Astoria Designs, Kasiopya was originally founded in the 1980's, by Tabitha Thomas. Beginning as a boutique bridal collection and eventually veering into resort and casual-wear, the company's decades-long success is greatly attributed to its artisan and luxurious quality.
Nadezhda grew up in handmade mother-daughter outfits and would fall asleep in boxes of fabric, lulling to the sound of sewing machines at work. In 2020, she would officially join Kasiopya and rebrand the company to what it is now-- an ethereal and eco-conscious clothing line that is unapologetically recognizable and unique.
As a Miami-local, mother-daughter owned, and indigenous owned company, Kasiopya redefines elegance with a conscious mind at the forefront.
